The brief
To refurbish hospital and staff offices into treatment rooms with a main circulation area to provide an Acute Assessment Ward within the Queens Centre at Castle Hill Hospital.
The response
The project involved taking existing rooms and refurbishing, as well as building brand new treatment rooms around a main circulation area.

Details of the AAU Project
✓ Main circulation area has been completed to provide an open plan room conveyed into 6 bay treatment rooms with full glass doors
✓ New doors throughout the ward
✓ Refurbished storerooms, utility and office rooms with new furniture and decoration
✓ Installed new IPS handwash units throughout the ward
✓ Full new kitchen installation
✓ Full new clean store/dispensary for medical drug storage with furniture, cupboards, shelving and cabinets
✓ Refurbished treatment rooms with bead head trucking, IPS handwash units, full en-suite facilities and decorated throughout with new blinds
✓ Medigas has been installed throughout the ward
✓ A state-of-the-art digital nurse system has been installed to run via wi-fi to increase patient safety and nurse efficiency
✓ Full new flooring, ceilings and decoration throughout the ward and Helix CMS finished off by boxing all pipework with Kydex
