The brief
The building will house clinical endoscopy, research and teaching facilities for the treatment of digestive diseases. It is the twin building to the Allam Diabetes Centre at Hull Royal Infirmary. The building will also provide a dedicated research space for the Yorkshire School of Endoscopy.
Work is due to start in Spring 2021 and we’re delighted to be leading the build.

• The erection of the steel frame
• Installation of the specialist glazed roof and side elevation curtain walling
• Single ply and terrace roof
• Feature staircase
• Supply and install Metsec SFS and rainscreen cladding
• Install all windows
• Associated external works
The response
The beautifully designed curves represent the organs of the body affected by Diabetes and Digestive Diseases. The innovative buildings will vastly improve the skyline at both hospitals, the facilities and will stand as iconic landmarks to welcome staff, patients, and visitors to the hospitals.
The state-of-the-art facilities will bring greater longevity to people’s lives and attract recruitment to Hull’s hospitals, whilst generating investment for their medical centres.
